Cylindrical stylus with M2 thread, stainless steel tip Ø 1.5 mm, stainless steel stem Ø 1 mm, length 11 mm. For use on coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
The stylus is an important part of the measuring system. During the measurement, the stylus is in direct contact with the part. Cylindrical styli have, compared to other styli, a larger surface area and are used to capture thin walled parts reliably. Depending on the application, different materials for stems and tips are available.
A steel cylinder offers high stiffness and is suitable for applications where weight is not a critical factor.
